Mission in Motion

What We Do

We place collection bins at schools, run inspiring and friendly can-count contests, donate recycling storybooks, and return every dollar earned from the cans to the schools so students see their efforts pay off.

Program Overview

When kids understand why recycling matters, have the right bins within arm’s reach, feel the buzz of a friendly contest, and see their efforts fund new books and projects, the habit sticks for life. This four-part model turns every empty can into a lesson, a game, and a direct reward, creating lasting behaviour change that ripples from the classroom to the whole community.

Education

Age-appropriate lesson kits and storybooks land in every classroom, turning recycling into a hands-on life skill students carry home.

Convenience

Bright, clearly marked bins sit right beside ordinary trash cans so choosing the recycling option is effortless.

Competition

Real-time leaderboards show which class is ahead, making every can a point and every student part of the team.

Incentive

Every nickel earned from collected cans flows straight back to the school for books, supplies, and student projects, proving that smart choices create immediate rewards.

State-by-State Impact

We start with the states that have the lowest recycling rates—because that’s where we can make the biggest difference. Every can counts, and by focusing our efforts where the need is greatest, we’re helping build momentum for a cleaner, greener future.
