The Girl Who Recycled 1 Million Cans Book: For every 3rd-grade student at participating schools, we provide a free copy of "The Girl Who Recycled 1 Million Cans," available in both English and Spanish. This inspiring book, valued at $8 per copy, sparks imagination and teaches children the power of recycling. It's the foundation of our educational outreach, encouraging students to become recycling superheroes.

Pizza Parties

When 3rd-grade students at a school collectively recycle 75,000 cans, they earn a well-deserved pizza party! This fun incentive, budgeted at approximately $4 per student, celebrates their hard work and reinforces the positive impact of their recycling efforts.

Ice Cream Parties

To keep the momentum going, 3rd-grade classes that hit their October recycling milestone are rewarded with an ice cream party. It's a sweet way to acknowledge their early efforts and encourage continued participation throughout the year.

Bonus Money

Schools that demonstrate exceptional dedication by recycling 150,000 cans receive a $500 bonus. This financial incentive directly supports the school, allowing them to invest in resources that further benefit their students and educational environment.

Recycling Superhero Capes

We provide two "Can Recycling Superhero" capes per 3rd-grade class. These capes are given to the designated "Can Captains" who help rally their classmates and the entire school to collect more cans. These capes symbolize their leadership and commitment to environmental stewardship.

Advertising Support for Schools

To help schools spread the word and maximize their recycling efforts, we provide $200 each for advertising. This funding assists them in promoting the recycling contest within their community, encouraging more participation and ultimately, more cans collected.
